Veteran White Marlin Open followers know that fortunes can be won and lost by the tip of the Harbour Island scale on the final days of the tournament.  This year, the conditions have conspired to set up a real nail-biter and the spectators can enjoy a double treat.  On Friday 327 boats will be eligible to fish and the boat parade at the inlet from 4 to 6 AM should be spectacular.  While Monday is the traditional morning to cheer the boats on, Friday’s show will be a non-stop line of 327 boats passing through the inlet for a last chance to claim their share of millions.  At 4:00 PM the final weigh-ins begin at Harbour Island and last until 9:15 when the tournament will be declared over.  Will the Griffin hold onto their $2.6 million dollars?  Will a blue marlin arrive to claim the $900,000 in that category?  The weigh-ins held at Harbour Island are free to the public, and Friday’s finish could be one of the most exciting finishes in 44 years.
