Rough Seas Make For a Slow Day Four

The leader board remains the same for the fourth fishing day of the 52nd annual White Marlin Open. With only a handful of boats fishing due to unfavorable offshore weather conditions, no fish were brought to the scales on Thursday.

Billfisher continues to take the lead in the white marlin division with their 72 pound fish caught by angler Dan Gough from Ocean City, Maryland. If his fish holds, it’s worth an estimated 4.27 million dollars. Also sitting in first place is the Barbara B with their 929.5 pound blue marlin. Caught by angler Drew Osmeyer from Timonium, Maryland, his catch is currently worth an estimated 1.2 million dollars.

In the tuna category, Tommy Farella on the Mama C takes the lead with his first place fish weighing 95 pounds followed by No Limit’s 92.5 pound tuna caught by Danny Bardzik, and in third place is a 61 pound tuna caught by angler Dean Stine on the Don’t Ask.

In addition to taking first place in the blue marlin category, the Barbara B also secures first place in the dolphin category for their 32.5 pound dolphin caught by Andrew Schreiber, followed by RoShamBo in second place with their 27 pound fish caught by Rusty Shriver, and in third place is Angelo Ponte on the Sweet Freedom with his 26.5 pound catch.

There is still plenty of opportunity for the leader board changes, with another three fishing days remaining.
